Low Energy Venturi Scrubber

The INDVENT Turbulent Contact Venturi Scrubber Type IVTC is used for Wet Collection of medium, fine and greasy dusts and large fibrous sticky material. It is a completely self-contained unit incorporating a fan and a sludge ejector. No water pump or spray nozzles are required.

In operation, the dirty gas passes through multiple venturi tubes with water induced from a sump. This is ideal for particles which are not dissolved in water.

Turbulent mixing of the water and the high velocity gas stream results in efficient dust capture. The dust, which is deposited on the walls of the unit, settles to the bottom of the tank and is removed by the sludge ejector. Clean gas rises up and out of the unit through the mist entrainment baffles, where complete removal of entrained water droplets take place.

The Turbulent Contact Venturi Scrubbers can be constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, special alloys or plastics. Units are available with capacities ranging from 600-55,000 cfm (17-1558 m³/min). The pressure drop is approximately 6" to 9" WC (150-175 mm.WC).
